In Darwins dry season, from May to October, you can visit Mindil, Casuarina, Fannie Bay and Vestys Beaches, all close to the city. Please note! From late October to early May, the venomous box jellyfish make beaches and open waterways places to avoid. Fortunately Darwin has plenty of  freshwater swimming holes nearby, like Berry Springs, Howard Springs and Manton Dam.

Darwin harbor has lot of fun activities; like sunset cruising, scuba divers can explore the sunken shipwrecks left over from World War Two.

The Darwin wharf district is a great place for those who like to dine out with a water view. Darwin Wharf and Cullen Bay are fun places for those who want fine seafood cuisine in a relaxed environment.
